Learning for Prosperity is a project funded by Objective One (Priority 4, Measure 3). Incorporating a number of partners across RCT, the aims and objectives of the project are to:

  • Widen participation in learning;
  • Develop a learning culture;
  • Improve planning, delivery and integration of lifelong learning;
  • Address limited access to learning in work to improve employability;
  • Focus on basic, ICT and transferable skills
  • Support the development of a culture of lifelong learning and increase participation;
  • Increase access to learning information and guidance services;
  • Provide basic skills and confidence to continue learning;
  • Increase, develop and support lifelong learning initiatives aimed at vocational and generic skills, including ICT.

Target Groups

  • Young people aged 16-24
  • Adults 25+ Returners, unskilled, unemployed, those in work with little access to training
  • Staff (upgrading skills)

BPI Training Range of ICT and other courses delivered to employees of companies within the Cynon Valley
Telecentre and Business School New Deal ‘Extra’ courses and media based courses for the unemployed
Hawthorn High School
